With Inspiration Day, Under the auspices of Gudbrandsdalsmusea, we aim to increase our knowledge of building culture in general, and what is needed to get started with the protection and restoration of older building materials.
Inspiration Day will take place at Øygarden in Sel municipality. Øygarden is first mentioned in 1576, and was preserved by the Swedish National Heritage Board until 1923. Inntunet is one of the most special in the valley, surrounded by eight barns with swallows' aisles. Eigarar today are Freddy Bagge and Christine Bugjerde. Without experience from agriculture or old houses, they bought the garden, perhaps with a draum about some anna.
During the event, you will get a new and exciting look at the garden as a resource, challenges, potential and goals. The Øygarden is currently an active guard farm with many activities throughout the year.
